A Day in the Life of Stephen

Hey Jerry!

I’m quite happy to see that my last blog post actually made it up! It’s a relief to know you were able to see it. I might not have an issue with blogs this year after all. With that being said, I can now tell you a little about my life and what I do outside of school. You’ll find it is very different from your easy going, motionless, lifeless, lifestyle.

When I’m not at school, you’ll almost always find me at a sports practice. Whether it’s football, soccer, or baseball, that’s where I’ll most likely be. Right now it’s football season, which means morning practices. In the past our team only had morning practices on Thursdays, but this season we have them on both Tuesdays and Thursdays. This means I must get up at 4:35 AM, and go to practice. Then I rush home, shower, get ready and come to school. On all the other days of the week practices are in the afternoon, except Friday and Saturday. We don’t have practice Friday because, as we all well know, it’s game day. Saturday practices are in the morning and are light because we just watch film from our game the day before and weight lift.

I also have a job… somewhat. I worked with a window washing company and would wash in the morning on Mondays and Fridays. Due to not having enough time for homework, I had to “quit” the job. I didn’t actually quit the job though. I now only work whenever I’m able to. I also mow two of my neighbor’s lawns on Saturday after football practice.

So, what do I do when I’m actually free? I’m usually just doing homework. If I’m ever free and not doing homework, I’m definitely sleeping! “But what if you’re not sleeping?” I hear you ask. Well, on the very rare occasion that I am not at practice, not doing homework, and not sleeping, I’m probably reading, playing with my siblings or just doing absolutely nothing.

As you can see, my life is pretty crazy! I sometimes envy your life of nothing, Jerry. Just laying around all day watching the people of One Room. I can’t complain though. I’m okay with my busy schedule because it helps me learn good time management and responsibility.

Until Next Time.
